Coconut twist

BIG's Coco Grove at Grand Bay proposes to breathe fresh life into Miami through style and elegance for decades to come.

Redefining luxury, BIG Architects’ Coconut Grove residential towers offer a living experience like no other.

Coco Grove at Grand Bay, developed by BIG in collaboration with Raymond Jungles, Nichols Brosch Wolfe & Associates, Esrawe, DeSimone and HINGS proposes to breathe a fresh style of living into Miami’s Coconut Grove.

The 20-storey high twisting towers, currently in the process of construction, are designed to capture the full breadth of Miami’s panoramic views.  With 96 expansive residences each offering a unique outlook over Miami’s Skyline and surroundings, the buildings successfully combine indoor and outdoor living. Each tower twists in order to remove all obstacles that may block the views. This interactive movement of the towers creates a dancing-like silhouette on Grove's Skyline.

Miami has developed a contemporary condominium vernacular that combines brise soleil style balcony shading with floor-to-ceiling windows in order to best enjoy the panoramic water view of the area. We propose to elaborate on these indigenous elements and continue the evolution of the local condominium architecture - Bjarke Ingels, BIG founding partner.

The interior design of each residential space is refined to minimalism and luxury. With an open flow-through floor plan leading onto an expansive balcony, each unit offers an elegant interior that fuses with the peaceful backdrop of the magnificent views.

Landscape architect Raymond Jungles successfully captures the unique climate of Florida through utilising the natural beauty of the neighbourhood and magnifying the towers with ample green spaces.

Coco Grove at Grand Bay is set to be completed in 2014.
