Design studio Jhanyar has introduced a collection of "street food furniture attachments" designed to enhance Bangkok’s bustling street food culture. Seamlessly blending traditional Thai influences with modern functionality, the collection reimagines everyday stall furniture to improve the casual streetfood dining experience.

Inspired by the ubiquitous plastic stools and folding metal tables found across Bangkok, Jhanyar’s designs incorporate innovative attachments. One such feature is a tubular metal arm that extends from tables, providing a convenient surface for resting food and beverages—eliminating the common workaround of using a second stool as a makeshift table.

Additionally, the designers have developed a stackable stool with a telescopic arm supporting a semi-circular table. This stool can be positioned against a wall or paired with another to create a shared circular surface, offering greater flexibility for diners in compact street-side settings.

Named GaGeeNang, the collection was piloted during Bangkok Design Week, where Jhanyar collaborated with local food stalls to test its usability. The initiative not only enhances the street food experience but also promotes sustainability by repurposing familiar forms into elevated, functional furniture.
