Honeycomb jewels

Benjamin Hubert's latest jewellery collection takes inspiration from bees and natural patterns.

Reminiscent of a bee’s honeycomb, Benjamin Hubert’s latest jewellery collection celebrates intrinsic patterns in nature.

London-based industrial designer Benjamin Hubert explores a new method of shaping jewellery in his latest collection, entitled Cell.

The collection, designed for German jeweller Biegel, comprises a ring, earrings, necklace and bracelet, all made by delicately pleating precious metals.

Each piece is made from 0.4mm sheets of precious metal and individual layers are soldered together to create a honeycomb structure.

Keeping the environment in mind, waste materials are melted down and recycled to make the next piece.
