The largest mall in Africa, Gateway is a shopping centre in Umhlanga, just north of Durban, that specialises in retail stores, restaurants and entertainment. The mall is well known for its 4000 sqm skate park designed by Tony Hawk and its Wavehouse waterpark, which plays hosts to concerts and events throughout the year.
