In designing the La Cave a Vin 9 wine bar in Paris, designer Cyrille Druart wanted to keep the space intimate, bright and colourful.
While striving for the this, the designer ensured that it was still firmly anchored in modernity.
Envisioning a new type of wine bar, which is both high-end and accessible, Druart’s design disregards convention, working rather to rethink the space in a way that matches the way that people enjoy food and drink today.
LEDs work to ensure that the lighting in La Cave a Vin 9 is atmosphere while raw materials were used to reflect the natural qualities of wine itself. Polished concrete, stainless steel, natural stone, mirror and glass further contribute the the modern, inviting look of the space.
The bar's structure is made of UV-fused glass, raised by a backlit Corian top. This element, as well as the large abstract mural displaying spilled wine, sends a strong signal that is visible from the street.
