Washington-based designer Kenneth Cobonpue confirmed his distribution partnership with Weylandts by presenting a series of design lectures in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Cobonpue’s sensual curvaceous designs, inspired by the natural materials of his native Philippine islands, have been used on Hollywood film sets and in the world’s most exclusive hotels.  His evolutionary rattan and abaca furniture caught Chris Weylandt’s eye on a trip to Cebu six years ago, and has been sold in South Africa exclusively at Weylandts since then.
